Bulgari hits new peaks

Last year, Bulgari achieved sales worth 680 million euros, up 40% (29% at constant exchange rates) on the 485 million reported in 1999. All the regions contributed to this exceptional growth: the Far East + 55%, Middle East + 40%, Italy + 40%, Japan + 35%, Europe (excluding Italy) + 35%, North and South America + 30%. The same applies to the different products: jewellery + 45%, timepieces + 40%, fragrances +25%, accessories + 50%.

On the distribution side, twelve new Bulgari boutiques were opened last year, bringing their total number to 99 including 27 under franchise. Approved watchmaking distributors now number around 600, more than half of whom also sell jewellery. Fragrances made by the Italian jeweller are available in more than 10,000 retail outlets.
